Author's Power Circle
We are writers at different stages of the journey, brought together by a shared belief that writing need not be a solitary pursuit. Our Circle offers a place to exchange ideas, ask questions, share experiences, and encourage one another as we move our work forward.
Kelly Shuknecht, author, CEO of Two Mile High Marketing, and host of Beyond the Bestseller, created and nurtured the community that became Author’s Power Circle. When her role came to a close, members chose to carry the community forward, building a collaborative, self-governing Circle shaped by the people who participate in it.
HOW OUR CIRCLE WORKS
Our Circle meets online for one hour each week. Member-shaped gatherings may include group discussions, workshops, guest speakers, resource sharing, and celebrations of progress. Together, we explore writing craft, publishing, marketing, technology, and the practical and personal dimensions of the creative life.
Responsibility for the community is shared through rotating roles, including meeting facilitators, a Steering Circle, and Technology Stewards. Members help shape our conversations, activities, resources, and direction, allowing the Circle to grow and evolve with the people who participate.
We welcome guest speakers who can share insight, experience, and practical guidance drawn from their expertise in writing, publishing, or the creative arts. Our members value honest conversation, useful information, and the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions.
